It really seems to take quite some efforts and certainly some special utensils to do the pounding. Well, I've never pounded the Taro but I've tried several times the final product: Poi! It's definitely an 'acquired' taste and it seems I never got acquired. Too bad because Poi is supposed to be really good for you.
