Aloha Friday: Mother’s Day Gifts

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday. Actually, it’s my first time to join. This meme is hosted by Kailani at An Island Life. Here’s what Kailani says on what it is and how you can join:

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing heavy or too thought-provoking.

Now, if you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants (you’d see the links there or links on comments here)! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

So my question is:

What suggestion do you have for a Mothers’ Day gift? For your mom or mom you know, or if you’re a mom then what’s something you’d like to receive?

I love personalized gifts and I have my own business. So my mom is getting a personalized clipboard, notecards and keychain. I guess you could say I was addicted to preppy and monogrammed things!

    Welcome to Aloha Fridays!!

I’ve actually done 2 blog posts about this recently:

This is my first Mother’s Day, as a mom anyway… so I guess I am kind of excited about it.

Ask mom what she’d like to have. If she hasn’t any suggestions, what does she like? Does she read, do crosswords, garden? A gift that she’ll “use” is good however; I agree with brines, flowers always work.

I know this sounds weird but I don’t want anything for mother’s day. I want my husband to go to the mountains and leave me alone, lol.

    Welcome to Aloha Friday!

I think the most romantic and kindest gift my husband and children could get me would be an irobot so I do not have to vacuum the house myself. It is not going to happen this year but here’s to hoping!

For my mom and MIL, I agree that flowers are a good gift.

I love receiving a plant or something for my garden. But I also sell great mother’s day gifts if anyone needs ideas! 😉

For me, I would just like a day for myself. Just a little peace and quiet would be nice!
