Aloha Friday: Conquering Procrastination

Aloha! I am back from a couple days haitus, and what a better way to come back than this: Aloha Friday! I am participating this week and my question is: Is there something you are procrastinating about, or procrastinating doing? Share One. And while you are at it, if you want, why don’t you share how you plan to actually do it and conquer that procrastination.

I need to write a post on “About This Blog” I will write it tonight. And after I do that I will visit all the Aloha Friday participant.

I’m gonna get off my duff and get some software where I can input it all in so it’s neat for the accountant/tax guy. Ummm probably next week! 😉

We’re moving into a new house as soon as it’s finished and I still haven’t started packing. I think I’m just going to have to give myself a mental pep talk about how great it’ll be to finally be living in it!

I need to organize my basement storage area. However, I have NO plans on how to go about getting started. It’s overwhelming.

My list is really long. I would say I have been putting off excercising the most. I always have a reason to not do it. Right now I have been sick so that has been my reason but it will drag out… the being sick will.

Yep! Right now I am supposed to be writing a paper reviewing articles on oral motor exercises and their history. Can you understand why getting on some blogs is a lot more fun?

Um, don’t laugh, but I really need to take down my Christmas tree!!! I’ve been procrastinating! I thought maybe it would be cute as a Valentines Day tree, a St. Patty’s Day tree, an Easter tree, a summer tree, a Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day tree, a Halloween tree, a Thanksgiving tree and then back to a Christmas tree! LOL I kid, I kid! I’ll take it down next weekend! LOL

That’s a GREAT question. You could probably ask it every week and get new answers each time!

I’m definitely procrastinating putting away all my Christmas decor. Most of it is down but I have to put it in the right boxes.

Oh, and I’ll pick one more: my scanning. I have piles of stuff to scan in. I just hate doing it!

Oh my, this is often a weakness of mine and is my main foucs point regarding myself and this year. I am doing well thus far!
I have a small note book that I make myself write at least four things in every night for the next day. This has been helping me. 😀 I am going to get our office cleaned next week and will begin gathering the information for taxes the week coming!

Great question! I look forward to your visit.

I have been putting off clearing out the upstairs room to make it into a play room. I am not motivated to do it alone and need hubby’s help.

Laundry. I hate doing laundry. And ironing.

    Aloha

  22. pam January 9, 2009 at 6:36 pm #

I really took my time getting Christmas decorations put away. But it is now. My other is laundry, always, and every day.

I procrastinate all year every year on getting my receipts into my Quickbooks program for taxes. I have two businesses to do it for, hubby’s auto customizing biz and my own jewelry biz. I’ve procrastinated for years to even set up my account for my jewelry biz on Quickbooks so I have to pull everything together the old fashioned way and it’s SUCH a pain :\ and I always say “never again”..haha..yeah right.

Usually I tell myself I have to at least start getting my tax totals together by the end of Feb. But this year I told myself no more procrastination so I started the first week of Jan. I”m hoping to not get it done in such a stressful rush that I will move right on into completing it and getting my jewelry biz into the computer as well.

I am REALLY procrastinating on getting organized. I have great plans to do so, but I just can’t seem for make myself do it. The worst part is I’ve pulled stuff out of closets, and I’ve taken other things out to organize, and now it’s a bigger mess than before!
