Maui Open Studios – Upcountry Feb 12 & 13

If by now you still have not heard about this wonderful art festival called Maui Open Studios, I suggest you read about it here.  It’s been going on for 2 weeks now.  We attended the grand opening at the Maui Tropical Plantation and it was very well attended.  Now it’s time to visit each artists in their own studios.  This week the focus is Maui Upcountry.  I was planning to go to a couple of Maui tweeps studios today (Saturday Feb 12), but it didn’t happen (car trouble and conflict in family schedule).

The good news is that the Upcountry open house is still going on tomorrow (Sunday Feb 13) so we all still have a chance to visit them, especially @shane, @jamarilyn and @nealstudios. Here are some more photos to enjoy and entice us to go:

Aloha Friday: Tropical Fruit

Papaya and Starfruit

It’s Aloha Friday time! This is the time when friends on the blogosphere hop around for a talk story kind of meme. We ask questions and we get answers. In the process, we meet new friends. Kailani of An Island Life started this. If you want more information, go to An Island Life. There you will find the explanation of how this goes, as well as the links of participants. For this week, Kailani’s question is “In honor of The Grammy’s . . . What’s your current favorite song?”. My answer is “Still” from Miss Saigon. I know its old and not popular but that’s the first thing that came to my head when I read Kailani’s question.

Now for my question, “what is your favorite tropical fruit ?” Mine is mango. If you do not have a tropical favorite, just let us know what fruit is your favorite. Aloha!
