The Time To Help Protect Maui Shorelines Is Now – Come Attend The Luau And Make A Difference
The “Buy Back the Beach” – 10th Annual Benefit Lu’au is tomorrow, Saturday, January 29 ·at 5:00pm – 8:30pm. There are some tickets left so it’s not too late to join us. Just think, when you buy the tickets, – you are not only going to help support this great cause of preserving the Maui Shorelines, but you are also getting a great deal in terms of food and entertainment! The venue alone is spectacular – it’s at the Old Lahaina Luau ground:
The emcees are Tony Takitani and Kathy . The host chefs are Craig Masuda & Nacho Perez and they will be joined by the chef guests: Ben Klein of Mala Ocean Tavern, James McDonald of Pacific’O, Peter Merrimanz of Merriman’s Kapalua and Ivan Pahk of Cane and Taro, Tom Muromoto of Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel and Sheldon Simeon of Star Noodle. I was reading some of the Tweets today on Twitter and my mouth was watering as I read the onolicious food the chefs are preparing.
And there are more: musical guests Barry Flanagan of HAPA playing together with Eric Gilliom, and performances by the Old Lahaina Luau dancers.
If you are one of those who were on the fence and was not sure if you’d want to come or not, I encourage you to come to this great celebration. Buy your tickets now and you won’t be sorry you did. Click here or call 244-5263 or 244-LAND for reservation. It promises to be a very entertaining event; not to mention a chance to mingle and get together with old friends and meet new ones, and make a difference in saving Maui shorelines. Purchase a table and enjoy the benefit of special recognition. VISA, MasterCard, and American Express accepted. Purchase at http://www.bit.ly/BBTBTix
The Maui Coastal Land Trust (now merged with Hawaii Land Trust) have already accomplished a lot, but there are still more to be done. Your support is needed and this Benefit Luau is one way to do it. Another way is through purchasing some auction items. Check this page out for more information on the auction called “Adventures For The Aina” – a selection of custom island experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
