Proteas on Maui, Hawaii
From the same general family as the Silver Oak tree, proteas are giant, solid, almost unnaturally beautiful flowers that originated in South Africa. Today, their unique appearance and robust character have made protea a popular gift flower. There are various Protea Farms on UpCountry Maui, like Maui’s Upcountry Protea Farm and Sunrise Protea Farm. By the way, I have one more Protea photo here, which I posted a while ago.
