I'm the one who asked on FB ;) And I plan to do alot of number 1 & 10. We also have a cruise booked with Pacific Whale Foundation so that takes care of number 9. And we're debating teh drive to Hana, I guess we'll see what we're in the mood for once we're there, if we want to spend a whole day doing this. We're staying in Kihei! This is great! I’m the one who asked on FB ;)
And I plan to do alot of number 1 & 10.

You do need to add Canoe paddling, the oldest of the sports and ocean cultures, Hawaiians arrived in Maui from canoes. Come down to Wailea and I can take you on personalized canoe tour of Wailea, we will snorkel with the fishes, see tons of turtles, whale watch and even catch some waves. For anyone headed to Hana who also happens to enjoy hiking, the Pipiwai Trail (just a little ways past Hana) is fabulous! Lahaina is well-deserving of a place on your list! On my vacations, I normally prefer hiking, watersports, beaches, exploring etc. rather than spending time in the area cities and towns. But, we ended up in Lahaina several times, and ended up just loving that town!
