Island Cooling Comes To Maui – Aloha Friday

It’s Aloha Friday! It’s time for that “Talk Story” kind post started by Kalani at An Island Life, where we ask questions and answer, as we visit and meet bloggy friends around. While at the Maui County Fair, I stopped by thus Island Cooling booth and thought, of a question to ask. My question is:

Do you have Air Conditioning (AC) system in your house and do you use it?
Another question if you wis to answer is – how about fans? do you have them in your house? do you use them and how often?

Now, check out this Island Cooling System photo I took at the Maui County Fair. I will go back there today to explore more about it. Living on Kihei, I think I would want something like this in our house, won’t you?

Yes, we do have AC. It is always on and maintains the temp at 75. Our is automatic will turn on the air or heat whichever is needed.

We have central Ac in our house and I am thankful for it! Growing up, we never had A/C and always had fans. We usually keep our settings around 70.

We have central air and we definitely use it. We have a few kids with allergies and it gets super humid here so it is necessary.

We also have ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and family room.

Got the ac. It’s a must for so Az. We also have fans though that help us to keep the temp higher & yet still feel comfy. I would not want one of the whole house fans due to the amount of dust that is out here.

We are looking into getting a windmill & some solar banks so that I can keep the ac down lower! *g*

I use the A/C and I have to run it all summer because of my son’s allergies.

We use ceiling fans upstairs because the A/C can’t quite cool that as well.

We live in a VERY old house. We have radiators and no central AC (something I grew up with). We have fans all over the house and also window AC’s for when it is extremely hot and humid.

We have A/c and do use it for the hot times, but it’s set to 82. so it only comes on when the heat inside the house gets to 82 or sometimes 81

In the winter it’s set low 70s.

We do have over head fans, but don’t use them. Very rarely!

We have a/c and use it in the hot summer although we try to conserve by not keeping it set to really cold. We also have a couple ceiling fans which are nice to have also.
