Aloha Friday: Pets

matching Hawaii shirtIn Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kalani from Island Life thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. On her blog she’ll ask a simple question for us to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then if we would like to participate, we can do the same.

A couple of months back, we adopted an  Italian Greyhound Puppy.  We named him Sonny and he is so adorable! Now my question for Aloha Friday is “do you have a pet?” If you have a pet, “what kind of pet do you have?” Please share – one answer or more.   Feel free to talk story about your pet(s)

To join the fun and visit more participants, go to An Island Life and see the links there.

No pet any longer….we are petless! We’ve had poodles, hamsters and goldfishes!

I have a little mutt we adopted. A terrier mix and his name is Jackson Gepperheimer. He has issues but I love him like crazy!

Oooh, I asked about pets (different question though) too. lol

We currently have two cats (one indoor & one outdoor since he likes to spray even after being fixed!) & two big dogs who would much rather lick you to death vs attack. *g*

We don’t have a pet at the moment, we had a hamster named Freddy many moons ago, but he’s since left us.

Our awesome little Lhasa Apso died 3 yrs. aog, so now our only pet is a cat (and we are NOT cat people??) that we are “babysitting” for our son – it’s been 3 1/2 yrs now – ha!!!

@MauiByPhoto

We always had dogs growing up, and most of my extended family are dog people.

Today, my wife and I have two rabbits, which we’ve had for the past few years now. Most people think that rabbits are just a phase kids go through when they’re going up, but for whatever reason, we love these little guys.

They even have their own blog. :)

@nanatotwoboys

Our daughter got a puppy when she was in the eighth grade. Wrinkles, a Sharpei-Lab. When our daughter went to college she couldn’t take Wrinkles…so we kept Wrinkles. When Lindsey got an apartment she couldn’t have pets so we kept Wrinkles. When Lindsey bought a house she could finally take Wrinkles home – but, the house Lindsey bought is across the street from ours and whenever Lindsey lets Wrinkles out – Wrinkles comes “Home” – I guess….we have a Sharpei-Lab named Wrinkles! :)

@TheAngelForever

We do not have any pets right now, the boys are too little and no space. I grew up with birds thanks to allergies. At one point we had 2 cockatoos, 4 cockatiels and 2 parakeets.

6 cats, 1 dog, 30 goats, 40 chickens. I thinks that’s enough for us on the farm.

We have 2 dogs, Bailey who is 3 and little Zoey who is 2. We got both of them from a no kill shlter in Texas while we were stationed there. I’d love to have at least one more dog but where we are living right now only allows 2. I have a picture of both Bailey & Zoey on my blog :)

We have 2 cats that we adopted from the Humane Society. We only wanted 1 but they were siblings and we couldn’t stand to split them up. :-)

We Have 2 Golden Retrievers, 1 African Grey Parrot, 5 Kittens (well 3 are ours, we are fostering 2 for http://www.oahuspca.org and 4 adult cats! Is that enough??? I hope so! But we do foster other pets in emergencies. We are building kennels and a cattery in our backyard so we can foster more if needed! Hope everyone has an AWESOME weekend! Bark at you later…Woof!
