Oh wow, those pictures are beautiful! We went to Maui on our Honeymoon. We went up on Haleakala to see the sunrise and then drove to Hana. I would love to go back!

Oh my gosh….I’ve been there! but i was there for the sunrise bike ride thing..and it was raining and cold and cloudy and we couldn’t see anything. I had no idea that’s what it looked like! beautiful!

That is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been to Honolulu twice but I definitely want to go see more of Hawaii. Definitely a far cry from my -41. It is darn cold but I grew up there so it doesn’t really bother me.

These are all gorgeous. It is such a beautiful place. I have hiked down the crater 3 different times. It is such an amazing hike. Some parts the topography makes you feel like you are on the moon. Nice shots of an amazing place!

[...] 2.       Drive to summit of Haleakala, in Haleakala Nat’l Park. It’s worth a call to the Ranger’s office before you go to check on weather conditions. Go as early in the a.m. as possible, as the clouds tend to move in later in the day.  If you have time to hike just a short ways down the Sliding Sands Trail you will be well rewarded. On a clear day you will be able to look south from the top and see Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea on the Big Island.  Be sure to take a jacket! [...]
